- July 25-28 I switched gears. I am now working on getting a kanban board software up, and want to run it locally self-hosted so I am using WeKan. This would work best with https for security since it has accounts, so I bought a domain name theimplementation.net and I am fixing my router so that it opens some ports that it refuses to open for unknown reasons. 2011 Cisco router tried and it works but isn't powerful enough for the home so the 2019 netgear 7960p nighthawk is the one we have been using and it has issues with ports opening, so I will be using a UPnP exploit to "hack into" it and try to get an SSH terminal on it so I can check ports from it. Finding a new router to buy is another option. I will be avoiding netgear because they are sketchy. A lot of modern routers seem bloated just like smart TVs, so I am skeptical. OpenWRT would be cool but not many routers seem to support it. FreshTomato isn't really used it seems and DDWRT I heard has some issues. Turris Omnia just seems sketchy.
- What's going well: Router hacking
- What I hope to accomplish in future: get a nice organized kanban board so I know what has to be fixed, what's new content, what research and development has to be done, and etc. so i can have categories/tags for these things and spread my time well and not spend too much time on things that don't matter.
- I noticed my productivity on the game skyrocketed from July 14-July 21. That was a major crunch / grind time, and I was a bit stressed during it. I am not sure if this is worth the (good) progress I made or not.
